My name’s Marina, and I am an intimate wedding, elopement & lifestyle photographer based out of Edmonton, Alberta!

Some fun facts about me!

Fun Facts

FACT #1

I’m a kitchen dancing, chai tea drinking, pretzels eating, Miss Vickie’s Salt n’ Vinegar chips snacking, pizza loving, Kraft Dinner + bacon eating kinda gal- and yes there is more, but that was already enough of a tongue twister for today!

FACT #2

I am an extroverted introvert- say what now? Yes that is a confusing statement. Most days even I don’t fully understand it!

Basically, I am super down-to-earth, and I live for peaceful, personal moments, deep life conversations and building up others! However I also love to have fun and I get SUPER excited when it comes to what I’m most passionate about. (This also explains my constant use and deep love for exclamation marks... #sorrynotsorry!!)

FACT #3

I grew up on a farm in northern Alberta, where my love for a simplistic lifestyle, nature and animals was born. (I even had my own cow named Suzy)

FACT #4

My favourite animals are sheep! I mean, come on- just look at his sweet happy lil’ face!! What’s not to love? <3

FACT #5

In my free time you can often find me adventuring in the mountains, traveling to new places, or watching the sunset.

But the most important thing you need to know about me is:

I LOVE love!!

I am an absolute sucker for a good love story, and even more so for documenting them. I have always been drawn to the beauty in details, everyday moments, and the value of the little things in life.

When I realized that I could capture the beauty in a single person, in a couple in love, or even in a family, I couldn’t deny the excitement. I am so blessed to be surrounded by loving couples who trust me in capturing the milestones of their love stories, and create moments that stand still in time.

To me, being a photographer is so much more than just taking beautiful images. I want to get to know you. Your hopes and dreams, your story- ALL of it! I want you to feel valued and cared for. When I connect with others through photography, I do so fully with my whole heart and soul. I want to be your friend, supporter and Instagram bestie! I want to know your vision for your big day, because let’s be real- sitting on the sidelines and not getting crazy excited about your wedding day is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for me. I’m here to build you up & support you in every little detail- whether that’s the stresses of wedding planning, sharing your excitement through a text when you find your dream dress, deciding on a venue, or even where to elope! I’ve got your back when it comes to your vision. <3

I am a photographer for the down-to-earth, adventurous and madly in love. I want to capture your natural, raw and authentic moments. Moments that not only look beautiful in print, but most importantly tell your story and share a piece of who you are. This means everything from laughing together to sharing those quiet, intimate moments with your love. I’m not the kind of girl to make you stand there stiffly and say “cheese”. I want to capture images that make you FEEL your love. My style is candid, full of color, life, and a touch of mood to highlight all the love and emotion you are feeling.

With that all being said, I will be completely honest. If you are just looking for a photographer to cross off of your vendor list- or the thought of sharing your story with me isn’t what you are going for, I’m probably not your girl. I know I’m not the right fit for every couple and that’s totally okay!! I am SO passionate about the people who invite me into their lives and trust me to capture their love stories, and I want you to be just as excited about having me along for the crazy, beautiful ride! I think the most important thing on your wedding day is to feel confident in those you’ve asked to take part in it. The simpler things are, the less stressed you will be, and the more you will be able to focus on each other and enjoy your special day together! :)
